Bayfield, a small city in Bayfield County of United States, is in Wisconsin. It has a small populace, as less as 611 according to the 2000 census. The main route which serves as the travel artery is Wisconsin Highway 13. Formerly a county seat which was a hub for lumbering and commercial fishing, Bayfield is now a popular tourist destination. Bayfield is also considered to be the main gateway to the famous Lakeshore. For those interested in history and related relics, Bayfield Heritage Museum and The Bayfield Maritime Museum are the city’s two informative and well maintained museums. Artsy ones can also have a good time in Bayfield since there are many well stocked art galleries. Worth mentioning is Bayfield’s annual Apple Fest which draws about 40,000 visitors, around the first weekend of October. If you plan to visit it in July, you can witness the Race Week Regatta.
