Yoho National Park
Overview
The park is located in British Columbia, Canada. It is a Rocky Mountain Park situated along the western slopes of the Continental Divide.
Yoho National Park offers individuals something of both nature and civilization. In addition to a wide variety of activities, this National Park also offers accommodations that are accessible for individuals with disabilities. These include interpretative displays and theaters, as well as camping sites, picnic sites, washrooms and TTY service.
For those that are interested in more than camping there are opportunities for scenic drives and photography. Backcountry camping and hiking as well as frontcountry camping and trails are available. There are also a variety of water activities that you can choose from. In winter the weather and the activities are a bit different. Individuals can participate in cross-country skiing or snowshoeing. There is also waterfall ice climbing opportunities.
Entry fees to park ranges from around five dollars for a youth to around ten dollars for an adult. If you have a family or group though, up to seven people can enter the park for under twenty dollars! There are also annual passes available to those that are interested in them.
During the peak season two-hundred and ninety-seven sites are available to choose from. There are different amenities available at some of the sites. You can view a list of campgrounds and the facilities that they offer to visitors on the Yoho National Park website.
