Travelers visiting Germany are captivated by its picturesque landscape. The northern region is filled with lakes, heaths and islands. Fertile pastures and lush dense forests are situated along the center and southwest regions right beside majestic mountain ranges such as the Bavarian Alps which are located in the southern region of the country. The fertile lands of the southern region of the country of Germany has made this region a top tourist destination since it is here where travelers are able to indulge not just in the picturesque surroundings but also the numerous castles and vineyards located along the banks of the Rhine River.

The climate experienced in Germany is just as diverse as its landscape. The northern and central regions of the country experience mild summer months and cool, damp winters. On the other hand, the mountainous southern region the Harz Mountains and the Black Forest are located experience a harsher climate with hot summer months and cold winters with heavy snowfall.

Although the southern region of Germany has harsher climate conditions, it is one of the favorite regions travelers visit during their stay in Germany. Tourists are drawn by the captivating beauty of the landscapes and the different spa resorts found in the region, particularly those located in Baded-Baden and Lake Constance.
