Keep a little mystery in your trip planning: Explorer Picture Mode shows a stylized version of every place instead of the real photo, so you can go by the description and reviews first and picture it your own way -- reveal the real photo any time by flipping the switch off, or just for one place at a time from its own page.

Lerici Discovery Guide

Overview

Changed

At the other side of Portovenere across the "Golfo dei Poeti" (Gulf of Poets) you find the friendly seaside resort Lerici. The area around this golf attracted in the early 19th century many writer and poets, hence the name! Today, Lerici boasts a small touristic marina, two beautiful public beaches, several hotels and delicious seafood restaurants.

If you take the footpath from Lerici through the Montemarcello Park, you arrive at the nearby fishing village of Tellaro, one of the prettiest villages in Italy. During the summer months, ferries depart daily from Lerici to the Cinque Terre, Portovenere, and Portofino.
