The shore's attractions run north to south along the water: Malcesine and its castle at the top, with the Monte Baldo cable car; Torri del Benaco with its Scaliger fortress and lemon house; Garda and Bardolino in the middle among the olives and vines; and at the southern end Lazise's walled harbour, the UNESCO fortress at Peschiera, and Gardaland just inland.
