Verificato su Wikipedia — The Museo d'arte sacra di San Francesco at Greve in Chianti was inaugurated on 7 September 2002 in the complex of the former convent of San Francesco, and from November 2003 the Antiquarium was inaugurated in the museum, where Etruscan, Roman and medieval finds recovered in the territory are exhibited., The polychrome terracotta altarpiece of the Compianto sul Cristo morto of the 16th century in the Museo di San Francesco at Greve is of the workshop of Baccio da Montelupo, and the work has perhaps kept its original location above the altar of the oratory; the frame with festoons of fruit and flowers made in glazed terracotta in 1515-1520 was inserted subsequently and has been attributed to the workshop of Benedetto and Santi Buglioni., In the sacristy of the Museo di San Francesco at Greve, together with the sacred vestments, are conserved a reliquary Cross of the second half of the 14th century in rock crystal of Venetian workshop coming from the church of Santo Stefano a Montefioralle, and a San Silvestro papa benedicente of the 16th century in painted glass executed by the workshop of the Frati Gesuati, probably to a design by Francesco Granacci., The Museo di San Francesco at Greve develops over two levels and conserves works of art and liturgical furnishing coming from the territory.
