Verificato su Wikipedia — On the site of a small chapel whose construction was authorised by the bishop of Fiesole Fuligno Carboni, the prepositura of Santa Croce at Greve was rebuilt in neo-Renaissance forms between 1833 and 1835 to a design by Luigi de Cambray-Digny which reflects the taste of the classicism of the Restoration., The facade of Santa Croce at Greve is of neoclassical forms and shows a portico of three arches surmounted by a cornice decorated with garlands, which acts as the base for the tympanum decorated with a rose window and flanked by two niches containing the statues of San Francesco and San Giovanni Battista., The church of Santa Croce at Greve stands at the culmination of the principal square and consists of a building of three naves with a coffered ceiling concluded by a semicircular apse, and inside presents forms inspired by Florentine Renaissance architecture, with a Latin cross plan and the hall divided into three naves by pillars., The bell tower of Santa Croce at Greve was originally lower but was raised by one cell in 1913, where four bells made by the Pistoiese Terzo Rafanelli are currently present, and in the cell below there is also a sonello.
