Viterbo Climate Patterns

Viterbo has a Mediterranean climate modified by its inland position and its elevation. Summers are hot and dry, often in the low to mid thirties Celsius, though evenings cool more than they do in Rome.

Winters are cool and wet, generally between two and twelve degrees, with frost frequent and occasional snow — more than the coast sees, and enough that the Monti Cimini above the city get a reliable dusting.

Rain falls mostly between October and March. The practical note is the springs: the open-air thermal pools are pleasant year-round and genuinely best in cold weather, when sitting in fifty-degree water outdoors makes obvious sense.
