7 September 2002. The Museo d'arte sacra di San Francesco was inaugurated in the complex of the former convent of San Francesco.

November 2003. The Antiquarium was inaugurated within the museum, exhibiting Etruscan, Roman and medieval finds recovered in the territory.

What the collection actually records is the emptying of the comune's churches. Every major piece has a provenance attached: the bas-relief from San Pietro a Sillano, the Annunciation from Santa Croce at Greve, the Granacci from Santa Maria a Cintoia, the panel from San Martino a Sezzate, the rock-crystal cross from Santo Stefano a Montefioralle, the reliquary of San Cassiano from the badia di Montescalari.

That is six churches and an abbey in one small museum, and it is the reason a comune this rural has a collection at all: the works were concentrated where they could be looked after.

The dates in the collection run from the 14th century to the 19th — from the Embriachi ivory and the Venetian cross to a Saint Rose attributed to Michele Gordigiani of the second half of the 1800s.
