The town's calendar is quieter than most because its visitors come for treatment rather than for festivals, and the hotels run their own programmes year-round.

Abano Terme's summer season brings open-air concerts and events in the Montirone park and along the main avenues.

Padua, fifteen minutes away, supplies the region's major events -- the feast of Saint Anthony on 13 June above all, which fills the city.

In the Euganean Hills, autumn brings the wine and chestnut sagre of the hill villages, and Arquà Petrarca's jujube festival in October is the best known of them.
