Keep a little mystery in your trip planning: flip this switch on and Explorer Picture Mode shows a stylized version of every place instead of the real photo, so you can go by the description and reviews first and picture it your own way -- turn it off again any time, or reveal the real photo for just one place at a time from its own page.

Asiago Events

Made in Malga in September brings the plateau's mountain dairies and their cheeses into the town, and is the best single occasion for tasting across producers.

Winter sports events centre on cross-country skiing, including long-distance marathons on the plateau's track network.

First World War commemorations mark the anniversaries of the 1916 and 1917 fighting, particularly on Ortigara in June and at the Leiten ossuary.

Summer brings concerts, markets and mountain festivals across the seven communes, and August is when the plateau is fullest.

The observatory at Cima Ekar and the Pennar site run public observing evenings through the year.
