Keep a little mystery in your trip planning: flip this switch on and Explorer Picture Mode shows a stylized version of every place instead of the real photo, so you can go by the description and reviews first and picture it your own way -- turn it off again any time, or reveal the real photo for just one place at a time from its own page.

Conegliano

Conegliano Events

Changed

The vendemmia, from late August into September, is the town's real annual event -- not a festival but a month when the whole district is working, and by far the most interesting time to visit a cellar.

Dama Castellana in June is Conegliano's historical pageant: a living chess game played in costume below the castle, between the town's two historic quarters.

Primavera del Prosecco Superiore runs a circuit of spring wine festivals through the villages of the DOCG hills from March to June, each village taking its turn.

In autumn the smaller sagre in the hill villages are built around chestnuts, mushrooms and the new wine, and are where the district eats rather than where it performs.
