How to Get Around Feltre

Feltre's two halves matter for getting about: the historic centre is on a ridge and everything modern, including the station, is on the flat below. The climb is steep; there is a lift, and it saves a real effort.

Feltre station is on the Padua-Belluno-Calalzo line, about fifteen minutes' walk below the old town. Padua is around an hour and three quarters, Belluno about half an hour, and Venice requires a change.

The old town itself is small and entirely walkable once you are up there.

The national park needs a car. The Vette Feltrine trailheads are up side valleys with little or no bus service, and this is not country to reach on foot from the town.
