Practical Information for visiting Montagnana

Montagnana has a railway station on the Mantua–Monselice line, reachable from Padua by train in about an hour — unusual for a town this size, and enough to make a car unnecessary.

The walls, moat and town are free and always open. The Castello di San Zeno houses a small museum with limited hours; the Duomo is free with the usual midday closure. Villa Pisani outside the gate is privately owned with restricted opening.

Allow two to three hours. The circuit walk and the town centre are flat and largely accessible; the tower and castle interiors are not.
