The Valpolicella Wine Region Events
Amarone Opera Prima in Verona each winter is the formal presentation of a new vintage, and the best chance to taste widely across producers.
The harvest and racking in late September and October is when the region is most interesting to see -- the drying lofts filling up is the whole point of the place.
Vinitaly in Verona each April draws the wine trade to the area and fills accommodation across the valleys for a week.
Village sagre run through the summer in Negrar, Marano, Fumane and San Pietro in Cariano, and the cherry festivals of the upper valleys in late May and June are the older local tradition.
