Keep a little mystery in your trip planning: flip this switch on and Explorer Picture Mode shows a stylized version of every place instead of the real photo, so you can go by the description and reviews first and picture it your own way -- turn it off again any time, or reveal the real photo for just one place at a time from its own page.

The Venetian Riviera

The Venetian Riviera Events

Changed

The summer season from June to early September is the calendar -- nightly markets, beach events, concerts and fireworks across all the resorts.

Jesolo hosts the best-known events: an international sand-sculpture exhibition, a fireworks festival, and the sand nativity at Christmas, which is the one thing that brings visitors here in winter.

The Festa del Redentore in Venice in July, with its fireworks over the Bacino, is visible in part from this coast and draws boats from Punta Sabbioni.

Local sagre celebrate the peninsula's asparagus in spring and the fish catch through summer, and are where the resident population rather than the visiting one turns out.
