Vicenza Events

Changed

Vicenzaoro (January and September) is the city's largest recurring event by some distance -- an international gold and jewellery trade fair that fills every hotel in the province. Not a visitor attraction, but decisive for accommodation.

The Concerti in Villa and the summer season at the Teatro Olimpico put performances into buildings that were designed for exactly that; hearing music in the Olimpico is a substantially different experience from touring it.

8 September brings the feast of the Madonna di Monte Berico, when the pilgrimage route up the hill is used as intended and the sanctuary is the centre of the city's year.

In autumn the Berici hills hold a run of small food festivals -- sagre -- built around local produce, which is the most reliable way to eat well cheaply in the province.
