Union is a village in McHenry County, Illinois, United States.
The world’s first fully automatic sub-station was made in Union. The town is home to the Illinois Railway Museum. This museum is the largest museum in the United States. Visitors visiting here may ride on some of the trains which are electric, steam or diesel powers. The time for rides is between April-October. Yet another attraction is the McHenry County Historical Society. There are two parks here – Veterans Park and Siems Park. With a total population of 600, the area is home to one elementary school. Union Village consists of a mixture of races including White Non-Hispanics, Hispanic, American Indian etc. Some of the industries over here are construction, machinery, food and services and metal.
