How to Get Around Pomerania

The SKM commuter railway runs the length of the Tricity, linking Gdansk, Sopot and Gdynia every few minutes for very little money, and it is the single most useful piece of transport in the region. The PKM line connects the airport.

Getting in: Gdansk airport has good European connections; trains from Warsaw take under three hours.

To Malbork: trains from Gdansk take about forty-five minutes.

To the Hel peninsula: a train along the spit from Gdynia, or a seasonal ferry across the bay from Gdansk, Sopot and Gdynia, which is much the nicer way and avoids the summer traffic jam on the single road.

To Slowinski: a car is needed, via Leba, and the last stretch to the dunes is on foot, by bicycle or on an electric shuttle.

Cycling is good along the coast, with a long-distance Baltic route.
