How to Get Around Columbia

A car is necessary for anything beyond downtown; Columbia is spread out and its public transport is limited.

Downtown, the Vista and the university adjoin each other and are walkable, with the wide streets making it feel further than it is.

The COMET runs the bus network, which is adequate for the centre and thin elsewhere.

Ride-hailing is widely available and cheap.

To Congaree: about 35 minutes by car, with no public transport option.

On game days, parking downtown is heavily restricted and expensive; walk or use a shuttle.

Getting here: a small airport with connections through Atlanta and Charlotte, or a two-hour drive from either.
