Asia
Asia's climate is dominated by the monsoon system across its southern and southeastern regions — a seasonal wind reversal that brings heavy, concentrated rainfall to India, Nepal, and Southeast Asia for several months a year (roughly June to September in South Asia, with timing varying across Southeast Asia), followed by a long, generally dry and more travel-friendly season the rest of the year.
East Asia, by contrast, has four distinct seasons much like Europe or North America — cold winters, hot and often humid summers, and the two shoulder seasons (spring and autumn) that are generally considered the most pleasant and popular times to visit Japan, South Korea, China, and Taiwan.
