The tower

The visit begins in a low entrance complex between the tower's spreading concrete legs. Security and timed-ticket checks lead to glass-fronted high-speed lifts, which reach the Main Observation Level in about 58 seconds. The exposed city view during the ascent makes the change in scale immediate.

At 346 metres, the Main Observation Level is the broadest enclosed viewing room. Floor-to-ceiling thermochromic windows wrap the pod, allowing the downtown grid, harbour islands and Lake Ontario to be read without a high sill. The circular route also reveals how thick the window assemblies and central core must be at this height.

One level down, at 342 metres, the experience becomes more physical. The Lower Observation Level combines the two-tier Glass Floor, the open-air terrace, angled OverView glazing and the Artmosphere digital installation. Wind and city noise on the terrace contrast with the controlled interior above.

The Top is a separate, smaller observation level at 447 metres, reached only with the corresponding ticket or add-on and subject to availability. The narrower windows and perceptible movement make it feel more like part of a working tower. EdgeWalk occupies the exterior roof of the main pod, while 360 Restaurant rotates on a level within the pod.

Key highlights

Main Observation Level. At 346 metres, this is the core indoor panorama and the best place to understand the city plan. Floor-to-ceiling Window Walls use thermochromic glass and improve sightlines for visitors at different heights.

Lower Observation Level. At 342 metres, it combines the Glass Floor, Outdoor Terrace, OverView's tilted glazing and Artmosphere, an interactive display of work by Canadian artists, including Indigenous artists.

The Top. The compact upper platform stands at 447 metres, 33 storeys above the Main Observation Level. It is a separate paid addition and may be unavailable even when general admission remains open.

High-speed elevators. The lifts reach the main level in about 58 seconds at up to 22 kilometres per hour. Transparent wall and floor panels make the ascent part of the attraction.

EdgeWalk. This seasonal, separately booked experience follows a 1.5-metre-wide exterior ledge around the main pod at 356 metres. Participants use a harness attached to an overhead rail and spend about 30 minutes outside within a roughly 90-minute programme.

360 Restaurant. The dining room completes a rotation in about 72 minutes. Its prix-fixe arrangements include elevation and access to the Main and Lower Observation Levels after the meal, subject to the restaurant's current terms.
