If you want to shop for keepsakes or gifts to take back home, do visit the Rue de France Pedestrian Zone. You can also find entertainment on the street. For art aficionados, The Palais Massena has several 19th century and impressionist paintings on display. As dinner approaches, sit back enjoying seafood and sipping wine in one of the many restaurants besides the Mediterranean coast.
Since it is on the Mediterranean coast, Nice has mild winters and hot summers. It is best to visit the city during October when both the days and nights are pleasant.
