Taj Mahal Palace Hotel site features

The original Palace spreads horizontally along the harbour, its central dome rising above a layered façade of arches, balconies and projecting bays. The silhouette is asymmetrical when read with the later Tower beside it.

Inside the working hotel, grand stairs, ballroom and public rooms use varied materials and decorative traditions, but access depends on the guest or booking context. They cannot be treated as an always-open display sequence.

The Palace wing
