Jodhpur Events

Marwar Festival is Jodhpur's principal state-promoted cultural programme, commonly held around the full moon of Ashwin in September or October. Music, dance and public events may use Mehrangarh, Umaid Bhawan or other venues. Dates, locations, tickets and road arrangements must be checked against the current Rajasthan Tourism programme.

Gangaur, Holi, Navratri, Dussehra, Diwali and religious calendars affect temples, neighbourhoods and traffic in different ways. They are active observances, not interchangeable entertainment. Ask before photographing worship, processions or participants.

Mehrangarh programmes may include exhibitions, conservation activity, music or festival events. Use the trust's current calendar rather than assuming that a past event repeats in the same format.

Large weddings, conferences and public ceremonies can also reshape hotel demand and road access. Build flexibility around any advertised date, and keep one route that does not depend on a procession, performance or evening vehicle transfer.
