Finalborgo’s calendar mixes the ordinary village year with the outdoor season that now shapes it.

The antiques market

A large antiques and collectors’ market fills the squares and streets inside the walls on recurring weekends, and is the busiest the borgo gets. It draws from across Liguria rather than from the beach.

The outdoor season, March to November

Not an event but the rhythm of the place: climbing and mountain-biking visitors arrive from early spring, with trail races and gatherings through the year. Accommodation inside the walls is tightest around those weekends.

Patron saint and summer festivals

San Biagio is marked at the basilica in early February, a genuinely local occasion in the quietest part of the year. Through the summer the borgo runs concerts and open-air events in the Santa Caterina cloisters, which is the best use anyone has found for a former prison.

The coast’s season

Finale Ligure below runs a full Italian beach season from June to September, and the borgo takes the overflow at lunchtime. Evenings stay comparatively quiet even then.
