If you were ever to select a 6th village in the Cinque Terre area, it would surely be the charming and picturesque town Portovenere, located on the south tip of a peninsula at about one hour driving from the Cinque Terre. On a sunny day, you’ll find here a nice mix of tourists and locals that stroll over the boulevard and enjoy the beautiful views, the numerous boats in the harbor and the small streets with pastel-colored houses.

Portovenere (or Porto Venere) is a UNESCO protected heritage site since 1997.
