How to Get Around Trento

Trento is flat, compact and easy.

The centre is walkable end to end in twenty minutes and largely pedestrian.

Buses are frequent and reach the valley villages and the slopes of the Bondone.

The cable car to Sardagna leaves from near the station and functions as public transport.

A separate narrow-gauge railway runs north up the Val di Non to Cles, which is the way to reach the apple valleys and Lake Tovel.

Cycling is excellent, with the Adige valley path running from the Brenner to Verona through the city.

Parking is restricted in the centre and straightforward at the edges.

A car helps for the Brenta and the side valleys and is unnecessary otherwise.
