Checked against Wikipedia — The castle of Meleto still presents a military layout, in the form of an irregular quadrilateral with the cassero tower at its centre; great works were carried out after 1480, when the two powerful cylindrical bastioned towers were built at the southern margins, the most exposed in case of siege, and from that time date also the brick galleries still provided with corbels at the northern corners. The interior presents many rooms furnished and frescoed to eighteenth-century taste., Of notable interest at Meleto is the teatrino, in a room reached from the inner courtyard, which preserves, besides the stage, seven original eighteenth-century stage sets. Checked against Castello di Meleto — Castello di Meleto places itself at Gaiole in Chianti, 30 km from Siena and 60 km from Florence, in the heart of Chianti Classico, and states that its link with wine began in the eleventh century with the Benedictine monks while the first written citation of its name dates to 1256, since when the castle's external appearance has remained almost unchanged.
