How to Get Around Caorle

Caorle has no railway station. The nearest are Portogruaro (about 25 minutes by bus) and San Donà di Piave, both on the Venice-Trieste line.

Buses run direct from Venice and from Venice Marco Polo airport in around an hour and a half. By car, Venice is about an hour and Trieste about an hour and a half.

The town itself is flat and small, and the old centre is pedestrianised -- everything between the two beaches is within a fifteen-minute walk. Bicycles are the local transport of choice, and hire is cheap and everywhere.

The lagoon needs a boat: excursions run from the town in season.
