Piazza dei Signori
Last updated on September 6, 2026Overview
Piazza dei Signori is Treviso's main square and the centre of its civic life, dominated on one side by the great brick bulk of the Palazzo dei Trecento. Arcades run around it, cafés put their tables under them, and the whole space works as the city's living room rather than as a monument.
Visit Responsibly
This is a working civic square rather than a visitor attraction, and the cafés under the arcades are largely serving residents. Treviso sees very few overnight visitors relative to the numbers passing through its airport, so time and money spent in the centre goes further here than in most of the Veneto.
Plan Your Visit
Open public square, free and always accessible. It sits at the centre of Treviso's walled oval, about ten minutes' walk north of the railway station, and every route through the historic centre passes it.
The Palazzo dei Trecento's upper hall opens for exhibitions and civic events rather than on fixed museum hours.
