For those who truly love country music, the CMA Music Festival is absolute heaven! This four day music event occurs each year in June, in Nashville, Tennessee, and is hosted by the Country Music Association. This great festival started in 1972 and has grown exponentially to over 400 artists and celebrities now participating. People have come from all over the world to attend the festival.
Since there are numerous performances during the event, a variety of stages have been built and there are many activities going on each day, such as:
1. Choose from over 150 hours of concerts that are performed at Riverfront Park and LP field, and the Nashville Convention Center.
2. For those wanting an autograph of one of the celebrities, there are up to 30 hours of autograph sessions where visitors can meet their favorite performers and get their pictures taken with them.
3. Since all the artists donate their time and talent to perform in this annual event, the money made from is all donated to over 100 charities and is used to help promote music education in schools. These contributions help build music labs in schools and purchase musical instruments for the schools. Visitors to this event can find out about these charities and where to send additional donations.
4. There is also plenty of shopping in the area as well as great places for a fantastic dinner.
