Jay peak is a mountain situated 8 km towards the south of USCanada border, in Jay and Westfield, Orleans County, Vermont. Jay Peak is named after the town of Jay. The place is known for ski activities that attract tourism. It was Walter Foeger, an Austrian racer, who had trained the Spanish Ski team. He named his technique as "Natur Teknik" (natural technique), that emphasized on parallel skiing.

The place offers 24 tree – skiing areas, or Glades, that occupy an area of around 100 acres trimmed from vegetation area. The mountain is situated on the break point of the Missisquoi river, which thereby falls into lake Champlain, then into Canada's Richelieu River towards the Saint Lawrence River, and finally into the Gulf of Saint Lawrence. The mountain is surrounded by Jay Brook and Trout River on the south and west respectively.

Jay Peak is the mountain with largest annual snowfall. It is an alpine area with something for everyone. The main points of attraction are the ski and ride lift, trail and special glade system.
