Introduction
In the narrow, cobbled streets of the town of Monchique, you find many traditional artisans and craft shops. Look for the traditional x-shaped folding wooden chairs, called "cadeiras de tesoura", for which the town is famous. Hidden in the foothills of the Serra the "Caldas de Monchique" was a spa even in Roman times. Today this beautiful Spa offers a series of treatments and rituals.
