Canton’s attractions are few, close together and specific, which makes it an easy one- or two-day stop.
The Pro Football Hall of Fame is ticketed and busiest in summer and around enshrinement week; two to three hours covers it comfortably.
The McKinley Presidential Library and Museum is ticketed and includes the science centre and planetarium; the memorial itself, on the hill outside, is free to enter and to climb.
Downtown holds the Canton Museum of Art, which charges modestly, and the arts district, which costs nothing to walk.
Further afield: the Amish settlements of Holmes and Tuscarawas counties to the south, and the Cuyahoga Valley to the north, both about half an hour by car.
A car is needed; the sites are a few miles apart.
