Situated along West Reno in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, the Myriad Botanical Gardens is paradise right in the heart of the city. More than 1,000 different plant species from all over the world are housed in the gardens. Each year, hundreds of visitors flock to these Botanical Gardens whether it is to temporarily escape the hustle ad bustle of the metropolis or to simply spend a few quiet and relaxing hours with that special someone. The scenery within the botanical gardens is extremely intoxicating and very romantic that it has become one of the most popular wedding venues in the entire state of Oklahoma.
To ensure that each of the different plant species planted in the Myriad Botanical Gardens are given the right conditions to thrive, the botanical gardens is divided into two different sections. The Tropical Forest Zone, which is also known as Wet Mountain, is located on the southern end of the gardens and features some of the most exotic plants from the Amazon, Central Africa, Southeast Asia and the South Pacific Islands. On the northern end of the gardens is the Dry Tropical Zone which is home to plant species that come from Mexico, Madagascar and South Africa.
Apart from providing a sanctuary where locals and tourists can relax and unwind, the Myriad Botanical Gardens also provide educational tours for students and adults in the hopes of impressing on them the importance of the conservation of the earth's natural environment through the different relationships of plants and animal species thriving in a living natural forest right in the heart of Oklahoma City.
