Walnut Street Bridge
Overview
For those who have never witnessed a truss bridge, the Walnut Street Bridge is an amazing sight. It spans the Tennessee River in Chattanooga, and was built in 1890. The top chord of this bridge is designed in five sections, which is similar to the Camelback design. This is a significantly historical bridge because it is spans a half-mile and is about 120 years old.
