Overview

Campania has been an Italian vacation destination for years. The reason for this is mainly its bays and rocky cliffs, which provide the tourists with outstanding vista. Campania is constituted of gentle hills and the Matese Mountains. The region is bordered by Molise, Puglia, Basilicata and Lazio on the mainland and Gulf of Naples towards the sea. Inhabited by around 5.7 million souls, the main industry over here is that of tourism and agriculture.

Campania regions include wonderful places, which are worth visiting like Naples, Amalfi Coast, Capri and Benevento. Each area also welcomes visitors with their local festivals.

In this region of Italy, visitors can find the Bay of Naples where the famous volcano Vesuvius is located. Although the volcano is famous for the victims of Pompeii and Herculaneum, the rich soil of volcanic elements has made it possible to grow fruits, vegetables and grain here.

It is said that the food of Campania can represent the food of Italy because the people who live in other regions of Italy have adopted the main dishes that are cooked in all the Campania homes and the best example is the famous Spaghetti topped with Pomarola sauce. In addition, Campania has been the birthplace of the pizza that we now eat all over the world. If you also like fruits, you will be able to enjoy the delicious peaches, grapes, apricots and oranges that can be found in the various grooves in this region of Italy.
