Monselice
Practical Information for visiting Monselice
Getting Around
Monselice has a railway station on the Padua–Bologna line, about 20 minutes from Padua, which makes it the easiest of the Euganean towns to reach.
The Via del Santuario and its chapels are free and always open; the climb takes about twenty minutes. The castle is visited by guided tour only, at set times, and closes for part of the winter — you cannot simply walk in.
Allow half a day for the castle tour and the walk up the hill. The castle tour is partly accessible; the Via del Santuario is a steady paved climb, and the summit keep is a rough path beyond it.
