Montreal's attractions split fairly cleanly between the historic and the modern. Old Montreal holds most of the city's colonial-era sites, including Notre-Dame Basilica and the Marché Bonsecours, while Mount Royal and its park offer the best citywide views and green space right at downtown's edge.
