The Terrace Dufferin is the most elevated plateau behind Quebec City's fortifications. It is the main spot where historically, military generals would oversee the naval activity on the St. Laurence. It is located by the Chateau Frontenac.
Archeology display pits were made recently accessible to the public. They expose how part of the fortifications was structured behind the 17th century wall.
