Universal Studios Hollywood is the largest movie studio and theme park in the world. It is located in Universal City, on the outskirts of Los Angeles, in California. If you want to discover how the movies are made, then a visit to Universal Studio is must for you. This studio offered tours to the public earlier and over the years various other activities were added. People were allowed to see the real sets and even allowed to watch the production of movies.

Later activities like a tram ride, stunt shows, and various other types of rides were also included. Presently the park boasts of 3D theaters, an assortment of types of souvenir shops and restaurants that are spanning in two different locations in the United States California and Florida.

Interestingly, the rides and the shows at the park are mostly centered on the themes of the famous movies like The Simpsons, Jurassic Park, Jaws and Earthquake. You can even find a horror room which happens to create an atmosphere that is scary enough to keep you at wits end. You will hear all types of noises while you pass through this tunnel. The Jurassic park ride will acquaint you with the dinosaurs, which inhabited this earth millions of years back. At the end of it you are bound to get wet!

One can find a variety of tickets (2-day, 7-day and certain passes for the year) on the internet easily. The charges are different for kids and adults.

The revolution in the entertainment and amusement industry began in 1955, when Disneyland was opened in Anaheim, Los Angeles, California. Universal Studio followed it later.
