Overview

The Venice Marathon runs from Stra, on the mainland, along the Brenta Riviera and into the historic center, finishing near St. Mark's Square. A temporary pontoon bridge is installed across the Grand Canal at the Punta della Dogana specifically for runners to cross on race day.

The course draws both competitive and recreational runners, and the finish area along the Riva degli Schiavoni is free and open to spectators.
