Also known among the locals with the name Pusan, the city of Busan is the largest port city situated in South Korea. The city is located on the southernmost tip of the country and is also regarded as the second largest metropolitan city in the country, next to the capital city of South Korea.

Despite it being an ultra-modern city, Busan is also a city that takes pride in its rich cultural heritage. Travelers visiting the city of Busan are surrounded by vibrant colors seen all throughout the city. One of the famous tourist destinations in the city of Busan is the Beomeosa Temple. Considered as Busan’s primary Korean Buddhist temple, Beomeosa Temple was constructed back in the year 678 by the monk Usiang. To this day, it is still recognized as one of the ten greatest temples of the Hwaeom sect of Buddhism.

Another top tourist destination here in the city of Busan is the residential area of Dongnae-gu. Apart from being a residential area that still continues to live practicing traditional customs and way of life, the village of Dongnae-gu is also home of the Dongnae Oncheon spa. A favorite of tourists and locals alike, this natural spa provides visitors luxury hotels and restaurants that serve traditional family recipes as part of their menu.

For some fun in the sun, head out to Gwangalli Beach. With its pristine waters, the beach is lined with sophisticated cafes, bars and restaurants where tourists and locals can dine while watching the beautiful sunset over the horizon.
