The town itself takes an hour to walk, and four things inside it have their own pages here.
The basilica of San Biagio, built 1633-1650 by Andrea Storace but keeping the octagonal bell tower of the Gothic church of 1372-1375, with a high altar of 1799 whose marble drape is carved to look like embroidered cloth.
The conventual complex of Santa Caterina, founded 1359, Dominican from 1381, a prison from 1864 to 1965 and the archaeological museum since 1931 — with two Renaissance cloisters, early-fifteenth-century frescoes and the cells inside its campanile.
The Palazzo del Tribunale, seat of the Del Carretto government and then of the marquisate's courts, existing from the early fourteenth century and restructured in 1462 by Giorgio Molinari, with a facade carrying fifteenth-century painted decoration.
And the Teatro Aycardi, inaugurated 1804, the oldest nineteenth-century theatre of the Ligurian Ponente, reopened in 2024.
Above the town stand Castel San Giovanni and Castel Gavone; both belong to Finale Ligure's page, as do the caves and the climbing.
