Casanova Museo Site Features

Unlike a traditional collection of objects, the museum is built around multimedia and immersive displays that walk visitors through Casanova's life, his writing, and 18th-century Venetian society more broadly.

Exhibits draw heavily on Casanova's own memoirs, "The Story of My Life," using his own account of events -- including his arrest and escape from the Doge's Palace's Piombi prison -- as a throughline for the museum's own narrative.
